The Irish Institute of Orthopaedic Surgeons was formed in 1972. Its functions included determining the need for new orthopaedic appointments, involvement in the replacement of those retiring, and a commitment to develop a training program in line with that being established in the UK under the auspices of the Specialist Advisory Committee (SAC) of the Joint Committee of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons.

Irish Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society
The Irish Foot & Ankle Society is the academic forum for Foot & Ankle surgeons, North and South of the boarder. All Foot & Ankle surgeons in consultant practice are welcome (and encouraged) to join. We host two academic meetings each year, a Difficult Cases Conference and an Annual Meeting.

Irish National Orthopaedic Register
The Irish National Orthopaedic Register (INOR) is a bespoke IT Application designed to collect and report on arthroplasty data. Data is collected at the pre op assessment clinic, in theatre and at the post op assessment clinic. Additionally INOR will provide national, group, hospital and surgeon reports. Clinically led by:
